How Rob Stephenson Landscape Design works

Your project starts by clicking here and sending me some quick information. We'll talk on the phone or via email to start getting acquainted before I visit your home.

When I come out, we'll spend and hour discusing your needs and visually surveying your property. This visit is free of charge. It's our time to chat so I can understand your expectations.

Once you decide to proceed with a full garden design, I'll begin with a scaled plot plan of your residence and your yard. I will detail all existing trees, walks, driveways and even your neighbors' trees ... anything that could influence your finished landscape.

All of this information then goes into my computer as I create preliminary concepts. I'll invite you to my office in historic downtown McMinnville so we can review my designs and get your ideas and feedback.

Remember: This yard is uniquely yours. You play a key role in the collaborative design process so that you get what works best for you and your family.

The end product will be a scaled drawing on 24-by-36-inch paper outlining your home, decks, lawns, patios, paths, walkways, outdoor rooms, water features, and, of course, all plant materials. This plan then can be given to landscape contractors so you can get fair "apples to apples" bids.

If you desire, I can take the plans to bid and manage the construction process for you.
